At Gateway Brewing our beer reflects that celebrate-the-every-day notion and we invite you to come on over.
Exit 7 - IPA
Exit 7 IPA
This easy to drink IPA features Chinook, Cascade and Willamette hops, 2 row and crystal malts and weighs in at 4.8 ABV and 80 IBU. "Exit 7 IPA is popular with drinkers who say most IPAs are too bitter for them," says Head Brewer Joel Sheley.
Exit 7 IPA Ramped
This Exit 7 edition maintains its balance and drinkability while ramping it up a notch with 5.7 ABV and 100 IBU.
The beer is named Exit 7, the Highway 84 exit leading to the heart of Portland's Gateway District. Gateway is home to many eager beer drinkers but until Gateway's launch this spring, it lacked a brewery to call its own.
Glendoveer Golden - Kolsch
Glendoveer Golden, a Kolsch with northwest inspiration, is brewed with Saaz and Tettnang hops and 2 row and pilsner malts. At 4.5% ABV and 25 IBU, it's the perfect summer ale.
The name gives a shout out to Glendoveer golf course and fitness trail in the heart of the Gateway District. First opened in 1923, Glendoveer also hosts community events throughout the year such as summer movie nights and holiday celebrations.
Wood Hill Stout
Wood Hill Stout
Wood Hill Stout is a rich, satisfyingly drinkable winter stout. The black patent and chocolate malt give depth and color alongside the reliable wheat and 2-row. And just enough Chinook and Cascade hops serve up a familiar northwest bitterness. ABV 6.0% IBU 56.
The name celebrates Joseph Wood Hill Park perched on top of East Portland's Rocky Butte. The park keeps a watch over Gateway to the east and downtown to the west with the majesty of Mt St. Helens and Mt. Hood on the horizon..
Gateway Brewing’s latest release Mahogany Lager brings new color to the lager sperctrum. This smooth, dark lager is the US debut of Great Western Malting’s Sacchra-50 malt. Sacchara’s unique characteristics, produced by a steam injection prior to kilning, give Mahogany its rich, malty depth. Mahogany’s malt bill is rounded out with Two Row and Chocolate malts and features Chinook and Cascade hops. Its ABV is 4.5% and IBU 20.
“I wanted to brew a beer that easy to drink like a lager but also had the rich maltiness that you want in the winter. The folks at Great Western introduced me to Sacchra-50 which proved to be the right malt to achieve that,” says head brewer and founder Joel Sheley
